Terms

Last updated: 18 September 2026

These terms cover the Northentic Primal website and everything sold through it. By buying something or submitting an application, you're agreeing to them. They're written to be read, so please read them — there's nothing buried.

1. Who you're dealing with

Northentic Primal is operated by [registered entity name], ABN 92 914 841 276, of [postal address], Australia.

Everything sold here is run or built by Trent Mason.

Contact: trent.mason@northenticprimal.com.au

The ImmersionSeventy-two hours in the Victorian high country. Eight places. By application.A$5,500

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.

We can change prices at any time. The price you paid is the price you paid — a change never applies backwards.

3. Buying, and how you pay

Payments are handled by ThriveCart, using Stripe as the payment processor. Your card details go to Stripe. We never see them and we don't store them.

Applying for the Immersion isn't buying it. An application is a request to be considered. A place exists once we've accepted you and you've paid.

We can decline any order or application, and we don't have to give a reason. If we decline after you've paid, you get all of it back.

4. Digital delivery — the Shakedown

Day one arrives by email within about ten minutes of purchase. The remaining twenty-nine arrive one a day.

They come from Kit, our email provider. If nothing shows up, check spam and promotions first, then email us and we'll sort it.

You need a working email address. That's the whole system requirement.

4b. The Field Journal — posting it

The Field Journal is a physical book. If you tick it at checkout, we post it to the address you give us.

Australian addresses only. If you're overseas and you want one, email us first and we'll work out the postage — we can't absorb international freight on a A$37 book.

We post within three business days of your order. Delivery after that is Australia Post's business, not ours — allow a week or so, longer to remote addresses. We'll send you a tracking number where one exists.

Postage is included in the A$37. There's no shipping charge at checkout and no surcharge added later.

Give us the right address. If a journal comes back to us because the address was wrong, we'll repost it once you've told us the right one, and we'll ask you to cover the second postage.

If it arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all, email us with a photo where relevant and we'll send another one. No charge and no argument — this is a $37 book, not a negotiation.

You can return an unused journal in saleable condition within 30 days for a refund of the A$37. Return postage is yours unless the book was faulty.

5. Refunds and cancellations

Different products, different terms. Each one below is the same wording published on the page you bought from.

The Shakedown — A$47
Do the thirty mornings. If on day thirty you haven't got a hard thing with a date on it, email us and we'll refund the lot. No form, no interview, no "tell us where we went wrong." You keep all thirty emails either way.

If you bought the Field Journal as well, that's covered by section 4b rather than by this guarantee. Keep the book — we're not asking anyone to post a journal back to claim a A$47 refund.

The Second Opinion — A$197
Take the hour, and if it wasn't worth your time, email me and I'll refund it — no form, no interview. And if you ever come on an Immersion, the A$197 comes off that too.

If you never book the call, email us and we'll refund it. We're not interested in keeping money for an hour that didn't happen.

The Overnighter — A$597
Full refund up to 30 days out, no questions asked. Inside 30 days you can move to the next date or send somebody in your place, right up to the day before. Inside 7 days we can't refund it, because the food is bought and the place is held. If we postpone for fire danger or a severe weather warning, you go to the next date.
The Immersion — A$5,500
One email to Trent within seven days of getting home, and the A$5,500 goes back. No form, no committee, no cooling-off games.

If you withdraw before the Immersion runs, contact us. Places are limited to eight and held for a quarter, so what we can do depends on how much notice we have and whether the place can be filled.

All of this sits on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. None of it replaces them.

6. If we cancel or postpone

We may postpone or relocate an in-person program for fire danger, a severe weather warning, a safety issue, illness in the guiding team, or anything else outside our control.

If that happens, you move to the next available date. If that doesn't work for you, you get a full refund of what you paid us.

We're not responsible for your travel, accommodation or time. Flights to a postponed Immersion are the clearest example — book them in a way you can change, or insure them.

7. The in-person programs — risk, health and conduct

The Overnighter and the Immersion take place outdoors, in remote country, in real weather, and involve walking over uneven ground, carrying gear, and sleeping outside. The Immersion is three days in terrain with no phone reception and no quick way out.

This carries genuine risk, including injury, illness, exposure, and — in remote country — delay in getting emergency help. That risk can be managed. It can't be removed, and we won't pretend otherwise.

Before you attend, you must:

  • Complete a health declaration honestly and in full, including medical conditions, medications, allergies and dietary requirements
  • Sign the participant waiver we send you
  • Tell us straight away if anything changes between booking and the day
  • Have a level of fitness reasonable for what's described on the page you bought from — ask us if you're unsure, we'd much rather the conversation

We can refuse participation or send someone home — without a refund — if they're affecting the safety of the group, are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, have withheld something material on their health declaration, or won't follow a reasonable instruction from a guide.

What's said in the group stays in the group. That's not a legal clause, it's the condition the whole thing runs on, and it applies to everyone including us.

This is not therapy, counselling, or medical or psychological treatment. It isn't a substitute for any of them. Nothing said by Trent or any guide is medical advice. If you're dealing with something clinical, speak to your GP — or call Lifeline on 13 11 14.

8. Coaching and the Second Opinion

The Second Opinion is a conversation. Trent will tell you what he thinks.

It's professional opinion, not advice you should treat as financial, legal, medical or psychological. Decisions you make afterwards are yours. That's rather the point of the whole business.

9. What's ours

The emails, the journal, the quiz, the reports and everything written on this site belong to us.

Use them for yourself, freely. Don't republish them, resell them, or run them as your own program.

Anything you tell us — in an application, on a call, in the bush — stays confidential, other than where we need to act on it for someone's safety.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Those rights can't be contracted out of, and we're not trying to.

Where the law permits us to limit our liability, it's limited to re-supplying the service or refunding what you paid for it, at our option.

We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, opportunity or expected outcomes.

We don't promise a result. We promise the thing described on the page — the emails, the night, the seventy-two hours. What you do with it is yours.

11. Email

Buying something, taking the quiz or applying puts you on our email list. There's an unsubscribe link on every email and it works immediately.

Unsubscribing from marketing doesn't stop emails about something you've bought — the thirty Shakedown emails and your booking confirmations keep coming, because that's what you paid for.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one published when you bought.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [ACT / NSW — TBC], Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of that place.

14. Complaints

Email trent.mason@northenticprimal.com.au and put "complaint" in the subject line. It goes to Trent, not a queue.
